I am a mother to one busy boy, two teenagers, and a step mother to a sweet young girl. Our life is constant chaos - there is never a dull moment, but I wouldn’t have it any other way!
My journey started with my mother’s old camera that I claimed as my own. I was that obsessive mother that took a photo every chance I could. Until I traumatized my children for life. From there I started on my friends, and families - children and never stopped.
Iv’e been a photographer for 8 years professionally, 3 years being full time, and almost 11 since I first picked up a camera and found my passion. During that time, I have learned things the hard way on what not to do. I pour my heart into each session, and spend hours upon hours editing, making the photos as perfect as I can!
I take inspiration from my clients. Yes I have poses that I love and will incorporate in each session, but mostly, I like to see how my clients move, react, and improvise to my posing.
I love nachos, red wine & Starbucks white mochas. I love to spend time on the lake in the summer. I love sunsets, bare feet on fresh cut grass and thunderstorms. I am obsessed with dramatic, beautiful light. I love the snow but hate the cold. There’s nothing like skiing on a warm day... I love to travel but am also a complete homebody - I love throwing on some sweats, turning on Netflix and just snuggling with my family. I treasure the quiet moments. Sometimes boring is so beautiful.
I want to document what my memory can’t possibly remember. I want to document children growing up, your wedding day, and all of your special milestones… because as most of you know, it happens in the blink of an eye. I want to capture the memories, the details – both big and small – before they are gone... And I want to do it beautifully.
And as much as I love documenting my own family, I want to be able to share my passion & love of photography with you. I want to be able to capture those memories and moments for you, too. <3 I want you to be able to look back at those memories many years from now and remember exactly how you felt in that moment.
I’ve spent years behind the camera - and if we’re being honest, that’s where I’m most comfortable - but I also know it takes a lot of courage to get in front of one. I’m so lucky to live in a great community where I’ve been able to get to know the families, couples, and friends that steps in front of my lens. Every session is an opportunity to get to create a few new memories.
I’m based in Edson, Alberta and travel often for weddings & elopements (or wherever the photo adventure takes us).
She captured my wedding perfectly, and she is fun! She has such a creative image for her photos, and she will push you out of your comfort zone (in a good way), to capture the best shots!
You won't regret having Kendra capture your big day (or any other photos, for that matter)!
110% recommend!
She is professional and makes you feel comfortable in front of the camera. She captured all of special moments perfectly through out the day, she laughed and cried along with us. She is very creative. Not only is her work stunning but I could not have asked for a more perfect photographer and person to share our special day with us! I cannot wait to book her again in the future, I highly recommend!
I wouldn't have chosen any other photographer to capture those important life moments. She is very helpful with direction if you feel lost in front of a camera and will tell you exactly what to do to get the perfect shot. If you let it, her creative mind will push you out of the boarders of your comfort zone to produce the most amazing photos! Highly recommend!
